Solid sterling silver 3 piece travelling cutlery set by the silversmith Aaron Hadfield.

English silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1838, (date letter “s") on the spoon; the knife is stamped with the letter "t" for Sheffield 1839.

Measurements The Knife measures approx. 6.3 inches (158 mm) in length, the spoon measures 5.75 inches (147 mm) in length and the fork measures 5.25 inches (135 mm) in length. Housed in their original burgundy leather bound fitted case.

Condition Lovely antique condition, no splits or cracks, no solder repairs, and no nasty knocks or dents, just minor little age-related surface bruises from normal use, really nothing much at all. The original burgundy leather fitted case is in great condition and has the original green velvet lined interior. One little exterior brass lid catch is missing, the other works perfectly.
