1961, I listen to Rock: Fats Domino, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Tommy Steele and I frequent the Golf-Drouot, there we find in front of the jukebox: Johnny Hallyday, Eddy Mitchell, Long Chris and his Daltons, it will be my first record cover. At the same time I sneak in through the roofs of the Olympia to see and try to photograph the Louis Armstrong show: thrown out by the 4 or 5 pros, I manage to get backstage, then into Armstrong’s dressing room: first press release on the front page of a major daily. After a few collaborations with Music-hall magazines (term of the time for Show-bizz) and record covers, I join the Salut les Copains team in 1964/65. We live from our passions (I repeat: photography and music). We don’t have the impression of doing real work
