BIOGRAPHY: Gérard VIELLEVIE was born a French painter, born in La Queue Les Yvelines, near Paris in 1939. He studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. A student of the classics and a former student of the renowned Lycée National des Artistes Décoratifs in Paris, he was inspired by the art of the Post-Impressionists and created sculptures and mosaics based on his inherent interest in this style. He began making bas-reliefs, sculptures and frescoes for many schools and town halls in cities such as Paris, Cannes, Strasbourg, Lille and Saint-Tropez, which now exist in many hotels in these cities. He was close to the painter Paul Aïzpiri.
